May 10, 2007 - My 21st "Barfday"
So I actually had a celebration for my birthday this year, it was pretty awesome.
Lets go over how the entire day went!
First off Alex gave me a card (since I already opened my actual birthday present). We then headed over to the Zehrs garden center because I wanted a flower and he bought me the most beautiful flower. My goal with said flower is to keep it alive until we move so I can plant it in the garden we probably won't have yet, lmao.

After that was all said and done I headed to work. When I got there, there were flowers sitting at my desk (well, the desk I normally sit at as it's supposed to be "hotel seating" but whatever) which turned out to be from everyone. There was also a chocolate cake. OMG! lol I didn't want anyone to go to so much trouble, but thanks to everyone!

Beautiful flowers that Christine actually picked up, she has pretty good taste in flowers! =P
Later on, but not much later, lol, Ash drew me a wonderful picture predicting the happenings of that night.
Yup, that's me! Apparently, I'm supposed to drink so much I throw up everywhere...
So to make my birthday even better, there was SLWP available at work and we all got to leave at 3:53 pm, so we weren't even working for 3 hours, lol. I felt bad about it, but whatever. Jamie, Jerome and I went to hangout at Jerome's place and played Wii for a couple of hours before we decided to head out for dinner. Jerome had to bail on us so Jamie and I decided to just go over to PitaPit, then we ended up back at Jerome's house for a while until we left for Caesar Martinis. At first it was just Jamie, Jerome, Laura (Jerome's girlfriend), Matt (Jerome/Laura's friend) and myself. It took Ash a fair bit of time to show up and she was pre-drunk so she was completely hilarious as you can tell from this picture as I am apparently laughing hysterically with my TWO drinks in front of me.. *shifty eyes*
So here's how drinking went...Before Ash got there I had a Jamaica Dust Martini (Captain Morgan Rum shaken with Malibu Coconut Rum and Pinapple Juice) which turned out to be FAR too rum tasting, and an Afterburner, which sounded good because it had Mint Schnapps, Kahlua and some other crap in it so it sounded like a pretty good drink, but it turned out to be straight alcohol that wasn't even on fire by the time it got to me! Oh well. Then Ash brought me a Woo Woo Martini (Smirnoff Vodka shaken with Triple sec, Peach Schnapps and Cranberry juice) which was actually pretty much my style because it didn't taste very much like alcohol but was quite sweet. After I was through with that I tried some of Jerome's Caesar because I've never had one before and tasted pretty alright so I decided to get one of my own. Ash also decided to bring me this shot, it was really really dark purplish and it tasted like berries, it was probably the best damn shot I've ever had because it tasted like candy, like a melted freezie (as I think Jerome put it).
By this time I'm sure you can imagine I'm getting pretty drunk, lol, well sitting down drunk and standing up drunk is MUCH different! Ash decided to grab all of us and take us to the dance floor where my apparent drunkenness became much more apparent to me. My vision was slightly blurred and I thought I might pass out at points because my eyes closed for longer than they should and didn't open right away, though I'm sure I was the only one to notice that! Ash then disappeared and came back with another one of those awesome fruity shots, mmm! She definitely wanted me to be pissed out of my mind. Dancing was fun, though the guys weren't really into it. That must be a guy thing because Alex hates dancing too...boring men!
Ash disappeared again saying she would be right back with another drink for me, but she never returned. A little while later though, Jamie brought me another fruity shot...jesus, how many drinks is this now? lol. Shortly after this Laura left as Matt was back and there was a huge line to get in. (probably should have mentioned that Matt left before 10pm) Just Jamie, Jerome and I now! I strangely got the hiccups so I had to go over to the bar to get a glass of water as that seems to be the only cure for me. Jerome came with me and ended up getting me ANOTHER shot, a Polar Ice! Damn I love those things, they are freaking awesome. Right after I had one on my 19th birthday, I went to LCBO and bought the two items I needed to make it myself! Yums.
I think after that we tried to get outside onto the patio as it was getting pretty hot in there, but there was a line so we just stood next to the door which was actually cool enough. While we were standing there I had the strange fascination of undoing Jamie's shirt buttons and trying to take off his shirt, lol....who knows why I was doing that, but I was completely hammered. A few more drinks and I probably wouldn't have known better than to go home with a stranger, lol. It was hilarious though, especially looking back on it, and of course Jerome got some pictures of the incident!! =P (apparently Alex doesn't care...)
It was late enough so we decided to leave and maybe get a bite to eat since the food at the bar was a lot more than we wanted to spend on our dinners! We ended up at Molly Bloom's as that's where Laura and Matt were. I got myself a glass of water to quench my thirst as I think I did state that I was really thirsty but I can barely remember most things. Alex came to pick me up at around 12:30am or shortly after and then I rambled on to him as we went to visit our house, and then finally got home. I don't think I shut up the entire 15 minute ride, lol.
I finished the night off with some quality time with Alex watching TV and then I passed out. I barely even remember, but Alex apparently made me take off my glasses, put them away and hand him the remote. Geez, what do you expect of a drunk person! hahaha.
Overall, even though it started off a little rocky, it was probably one of the best birthday celebrations I've ever had! I'll never forget it.
You guys rock, and thank you sooooo much for a freaking AMAZING 21st birthday! =D

It's not that all guys aren't into it. Many of us are interested but every time we do it, we get looks or comments from girls telling us that we're no good. It's very discouraging.

That's fair, I can understand that. The way I try to look at it is, not many people are actually that good at dancing. I know I look like an idiot so I just don't worry about it so much because there are so many other people who look stupid dancing too!
