My Rain Check Valentine's Day
So as per my last blog...Alex and I got into a tiff, made up and then talked things through, so all is well on the home front!
Last night was our makeup Valentine's Day since on Feb. 14 we didn't see each other all day! He took me to Del Dante's at first, but they had an hour wait..haha, way for neither of us to think of getting a reservation. So I was very disappointed because I really really wanted the nummy flower pot bread with cinnamon spread. Oh well, another night! We decided to go to Martini's instead, but they were full...so we went to Charcoal Steakhouse! lol. I didn't want anything on that menu since I'm not the biggest steak fan and they only had 2 chicken choices that didn't tickle my fancy. I was getting kind of upset because I didn't know what I was supposed to eat, but luckily I bugged the waiter and he got us the Martini's menu. :D I ended up just hitting the pasta bar after it all, which is what I wanted in the first place. I would like to comment on my pasta...do NOT get the sundried tomato pesto, omg is it rich. I honestly couldn't finsh and it wasn't like there was a lot, it was basically a standard bowl of spaghetti. I thought I was going to explode. (and on the flip side, I think I could have made something just as good at home! lol Sorry to the chef..) So all in all, that was pretty good, expensive, but that's OK. I still didn't get any flowers, lol, perhaps some other day. :( We then went home and watched a movie on MPixOD called Election. Interesting and weird movie..we couldn't find anything good on ROD unfortunately as we both kind of wanted to watch something gushy. That's alright. Then we played WoW until it was time for bed, and get this...nobody will ever believe me...Alex went to bed BEFORE me, I actually stayed up later and played until I hit 65! WOOT WOOT! Wicked eh? haha.
Yah, so it wasn't picture perfect or anything, but we don't go out for dinner in "fancy" resturants very much..so it was nice! :D Next time though, we HAVE to go to Del Dante's and get some of that damn bread. haha.

Unless I make reservations beforehand (which I almost never do), 90% of the time I'm waiting an hour for a table at any restaurant I go to on a Friday or Saturday in KW.
You'd think I'd be used to it but I always go out feeling hungry and then the hour wait makes me tummy angry enough to write a strongly worded letter [but it doesn't, because it has no hands].

Yeah, we really were not thinking, lol. And we were absolutely starving because we planned on eating a lot and had a light lunch...so if we would have had to wait an hour or more, I think that our stomachs would have eaten themselves. :P
